I think I’m going to start posting (basically copy/paste) my beer reviews from Beeradvocate from now on, which will basically be my focus for the rest of my life.
P.S. No, I’m not an alcoholic.
P.P.S. If I told someone I was into wine and wine making I’m sure the first thought would be “O, how fancy” but when I say beer it’s “O, so you’re an overweight middle aged man who likes to get drunk…”
Yikes.
I was bored and wanted to make a little list of my favorite beers that I’ve tried so far this year. Some I’d only had once and some were really good, maybe not the best, but kept going back to. I tried my first sour (Sanctification), which I’m extremely happy that I enjoyed, and I had some amazing IPAs and IIPAs. From top to bottom. I’ll post another picture of some of the honorable mentions that did not quite make the cut.
If you click on the picture it will enlarge into a cute little slide show for ya ^_^.
So far Sigur Ros’ new album Valtari is slightly disappointing. I read that they described this album as being a “steamroller” and the music “rolling right over you” and it does that exactly. Each song sounds nice, very well made, and lovely piano puttering, but that is all the entire album seems to be. Every song sounds almost exactly the same, seldom does Jonsi sing, and the drums and bass pretty much do not exist on this album.
This is something I’d put on while doing something else and enjoy it, but each songs seems to be lacking structure, but perhaps it will grow on me. I dunno.
Thrice announced one more, last tour date the very next night in Santa Ana and I can’t find where to buy tickets anywhere.
They will be playing buy themselves for about a 3 hour set and I NEED TO GO since I will be in town then. I just woke up and the tickets cannot be found on the think they gave us, nor on the venue’s website, nor ticket master.
HELP ME!
